Way to go Heathrow Airport!

Given my previous post on biometric-based passenger processing at Kempegowada International Airport, its great to see that some airport appear to take data privacy more seriously.

Heathrow airport is "privacy-proofing" its biometric passenger processing technology with the UK privacy supervisory, by taking part in their sandbox scheme. The ICO data protection Sandbox scheme aims to provide support to organisations wanting to use the public’s personal data for innovative services. All participants will have ‘exited’ the Sandbox by September 2020.
