COMMENT Facial recognition continues to be under scrutiny. Its use banned or restricted by various local authorities in US and Europe. The technology has many benefits but also comes with many risks - in particular in the travel business. Business is pushing back including airports, and lobbying out of concerns for an outright ban. This might not be the way to go, but pure commercially driven interest without independent and regular oversight is equally ill advised.
